As a part of a global AML Programme, the role’s focus is to ensure KYC quality documentation of clients while adhering to internal guidelines, policies and regulatory requirements.

The role holder will act as a KYC Upgrade Specialist and will be working as part of the Second Line of Defence (2LOD) business control function.

YOUR CHALLENGE

  • Perform client file reviews in order to ensure appropriate KYC documentation of client relationships by the Relationship Managers (RMs)
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests and client issues raised by the Relationship Manager
  • Raise potential documentation shortfalls with the relevant Relationship Manager and / or escalate to the Front Line Management (Team Heads) or Compliance Special Investigation Unit
  • Provide front office guidance on quality standards and / or one-on-one coaching sessions to assigned RMs
  • Ensure feedback flow from working with the front team members regarding the quality of files reviewed and processes in place to the Front Line Management as well as Program Management to ensure continuous improvement and adaptation.
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in the banking industry
  • Experience in KYC Reviews is a must, preferably in a File Remediation / Upgrade project
  • Sound knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment and client documentation standards
  • Detailed knowledge of Customer Due Diligence requirements
  • Market knowledge or experience in the regions Russia & former Soviet Union countries, Middle East and Africa would be an advantage
  • Sound organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to complete high volumes of client files to a good standard
  • Fluency in German & English, other languages are a bonus- in particular Russian and Arabic.
