We are looking for a NMR Expert who gained professional or scientific experience; either from university or industry. You will be one of our subject matter experts for NMR in our Visp site, the global hub for this technology at Lonza.
Your tasks :
You have the full responsibility for the development and implementation of procedures using NMR spectroscopy
You plan and coordinate lab work. To be successful, you will be using structured problem solving techniques as well as your experience in the field of expertise
You collect, summarize and analyse interdependent and complex data and take conclusions based on data. Preparing reports and making presentations, as appropriate, are part of your work in order to disseminate best practice throughout the function
You demonstrate scientific / technical leadership at project level and lead small cross functional project teams
You represent the NMR team in (troubleshoot-) meetings. You are the technical lead in customer meetings in your area and you have to develop customer relationships
Anticipation, Evaluation and Implementation of trends and innovations in the area of expertise by collaboration with internal and external partners and by following scientific literature are part of your role
You mentor junior team members
You have a Ph.D. degree or a Master degree including extensive NMR work experience
The experience you have gained in advanced problem solving using NMR spectroscopy are key for your success
Ideally you are familiar with current Bruker NMR spectrometers and the TopSpin software
Ideally you have a sound regulatory (GMP & ISO 9001) knowledge
You have developed communication skills to exchange complex information and a team player personality
Your mindset includes : Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking and acting, team spirit, reliability, flexibility and strong customer focus
You have strong English communication skills and ideally also German skills
You have the required IT skills
