Business Developer (Pharma)

Position Purpose

The Pharma Business Developer will generate profitable growth for Roquette in the Pharma market segments and drive sales of innovation products.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for managing and growing sales in the designated regional territory for Pharma market segments focused on Nutraceutical, Pharma, and Biopharma
  • Generate profitable growth for Roquette measurable in variable margin contribution
  • Generate new leads and expand customer base through a hunter mentality
  • Promote and drive sales of Innovation products
  • Identify, develop and nurture customer-driven Sales Funnel (project pipeline) in collaboration with Marketing and Customer Technical Service (CTS)
  • Convert won opportunities in the Sales Funnel to purchase orders
  • Partner with new and existing customers to ensure sustainable growth and generate incremental margins by offering value-
  • based solution through Customer-Centric selling

  • Understand market trends and the competitive environment in our Pharma market segments
  • Continuously provide market and customer feedback to all internal stakeholders
  • Maintain and aim to continuously increase the Net Promoter Score (NPS) at customer accounts in the designated regional territory
  • Collaborate with Channel partners, as needed, to deliver the best solution to Roquette customers
  • Key Competencies Requirements

  • Demonstrated passion and skill sets for self-directed customer interaction, effective customer development, and problem-solving activities
  • Qualifications / Requirements

    Education :

    Minimum of B.S. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field (M.S. preferred; MBA is a plus)

    Experience :

    5+ years proven experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry required

    Ingredient industry experience in customer-facing roles

    Specific requirements :

    Must have a valid driver’s license

    Business Trips (Percentage) :

    Willingness to travel extensively, as needed, to perform the role (50%+)
