Tasks andresponsibilities of the Assistant Professor include
TheAssistant Professor will play an important role in further developing theexisting education program in the area of statistics.
In addition, thecandidate will be active in acquiring and managing externally funded projects.The teaching load is about 50% of the working time.

Thecandidate has a PhD in Mathematics or a related discipline (e.g. Econometrics)specialized in Statistics and preferably post-doctoral experience.
Thecandidate shows promise and potential to be a leading researcher and aninspiring and dedicated teacher. He / she has a good track record in the researchfield of Statistics, visible from refereed publications in high-
qualityjournals. He / she has also shown to be able to collaborate with researchers inapplication areas, e.g. related to the engineering disciplines of the TU Delft.
Theuniversity sets specific requirements for the English competence of itsfaculty, and offers training to improve the level if that should be necessary.
In addition, applicants should be willing to learn Dutch.
Conditions of Employment
At thestart of the tenure-track you will be appointed as Assistant Professor for theduration of six years. Section leader, department leaders and you will agreeupon expected performance and (soft) skills.
You will receive formal feedbackon performance and skills during annual assessment meetings and the mid-termevaluation. If the performance and skills are evaluated positively at the endof the tenure track, you will be appointed in a permanent Assistant Professorposition.
