The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Swarthmore College invites applications for a 3-year position as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Statistics beginning Fall 2019.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in statistics or a closely related field and a record of excellence in both scholarship and undergraduate teaching.
The teaching load is currently in transition : in 2019-20 it consists of five courses per year but starting in fall 2020 it will require four courses a year.
It is often possible to teach multiple sections of the same course in a given semester.
