TE Connectivity's Manufacturing / Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow.
They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures.
Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsible for operating plastic molding machinery along with trimming and support equipment
Hands-on processing involving creative use of mechanical tools to finish and package parts
Troubleshoot process and material problems in order to achieve a high level of productivity
Complete all work orders, production logs, and other documentation
Assist Manufacturing Engineering in developing Standard Work Instructions
Work as a Team Player for the good of the entire Manufacturing Cell
Focus on attention to details and 100% Accuracy
High School Diploma required, Associates degree in Manufacturing or in a related field preferred
Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to follow safety guidelines while operating machinery
Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose processing problems
General housekeeping in work areas and working knowledge of 5s +1 required.
Problem solving and creativity skills required.
Mechanical skills required, Hands-on, good at operating Air, Hand, and Power Tools
Ability to prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties.
Familiarity with plastics molding equipment a plus.
Ability to work in a Team-oriented environment and contribute to the Team daily.
Focus on Continuous Improvement to not only meet but exceed Production output goals.
Primary involvement in a new start-up Manufacturing Cell in climate controlled factory
Frequently required to stand, walk, lift to 20 lbs, handle, feel, reach, and any combination
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift to 40 lbs
Pallet jack and walkie fork truck lift operation
Hi-Vis Vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots required and provided
Moderate noise level, hearing protection not required
High fork truck traffic and awareness required in and around Mfg Cell
