The Commodity Manager will develop and implement the EMEA sourcing strategies for the categories assigned which will provide superior products, optimize the supplier base, provide improved customer service levels and minimize risk at the best cost possible
1. Working with the Site Commodity buyers, SPS Sourcing leadership team & SPS Commodity Managers in the other regions :
Implement sourcing strategies to ensure worldwide supplier quality, delivery, lead time, and cost performance goals are met for the commodity assigned.
Participate in Global Corporate Commodity Teams to drive strategy that ensures supplier quality, delivery, lead time and cost performance goals.
Develop and implements sourcing strategy for the EMEA region.
Accountable for timely and effective planning, development and execution to meet the Annual Operating Plan.
Identifies, researches and implements new materials and processes to drive cost down efforts.
Recognized as an expert with a deep understanding and knowledge of market drivers and manufacturing techniques for the commodity assigned.
Must be able to motivate and drive results cross functionally and to lead the execution of projects
Conducts commodity specific competitor and industry analysis to identify cost, material selection, manufacturing techniques and materials sourcing to improve the company’s competitive position.
Identify, evaluate, select and manage worldwide supplier base with a specific emphasis on business strategies.
Develop and maintain Preferred Supplier listing
Cycle-time and Inventory Reduction lead-time and delivery, Plan for every Part / Supplier
Drive Payables improvement thru extended payment terms
Identify and drive Emerging Region sourcing
Supplier Quality Development and Workshops to drive cost out and value in
Identify raw material availability and proactive risk management
Analyse and monitor our supplier’s financial strengths and risks
Achieve productivity and contribute to quality, delivery and inventory targets by leveraging spend across HIS EMEA
Business Alignment Events to professionally integrate suppliers into NPI + cost optimize existing products and solutions
2. Develop, maintain, and communicate year over year AOP commodity planning based project decks with sourcing leadership.
Develop a forward strategy based on one year and five year goals. Follow and contribute to ISC STRAP.
3. Drive Common process usage and E-Sourcing activities
4. Comply with approved HIS / SPS / Honeywell sourcing policies and procedures.
5. Supplier Relationship / Visits perform Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers
YOU MUST HAVE
Degree in engineering, business, or related field
Extensive experience in supply chain / procurement
Ability to operate within a matrix organizations
Working and / or Leading in Site Team Environments
Project Management and / or Contract Management Experience
Professional Certifications in Project / Supply Chain / Procurement / Contract Management
Team Leader experience in Supply Management / Sourcing / Procurement / Business
Demonstrated Business and financial acumen
Experience with SAP or site relevant ERP systems, E Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools
Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Tools
Some Travel Required
