Supply Chain and Planning intern

Summary

The main purpose of the role is to provide support and strengthen Incyte’s Europe supply chain team in various key processes including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management and operational execution with external partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

Participateand improve completion of monthly forecast and sales to allow accurate demand and supply planning

Analyze forecast vs sales in collaboration with the commercial team and affiliates, and provide recommendations for forecast adjustments

Maintain close relationship with Contract Manufacturing Organizations to enable day-to-day operations, report and analyze key performance indicators, and implement continuous improvement efforts

Participate in issuing and following up on POs to suppliers

Request, monitor and optimize replenishment of product between Incyte manufacturing partners and inventory locations according to GDPs

Participate in inventory management (such as threshold or obsolescence alerting), including communication to various stakeholders

Maintain and improve data accuracy in RapidResponse, Incyte Supply Chain Planning tool

Suggest and implement improvements in RapidResponse such as reporting, alerting, revision of master data or specific work instructions covering regular supply chain processes

Participate in local, regional and global supply chain forums internally and with external partners, and propose improvements to current operations when applicable

Participate and provide support on specific supply chain projects

Advise on future improvements / innovation based on area of study

Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics

Act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelines

Requirements

English fluency written and spoken, French a plus

Currently pursuing a business study degree (minimum Bachelor), ideally with focus on Supply Chain Management

Interest for supply chain operations

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to work effectively with internal and external partners

Strong analytical skills

Ability to work in a small scale business and highly regulated setting

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential

Proficiency in usual Microsoft applications

Knowledge of basic supply chain planning principles is a plus

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Distribution Practices (GMPs and GDPs) is a plus

Knowledge of Lean philosophy is a plus
