PA Consulting Life Sciences has embarked on an ambitious programme of development. Ensuring that PA addresses the imperatives of the Life Sciences industry, the firm will continue to deliver better value for patients, fuel innovation and reduce the cost and complexity of operating systems.

The opportunity has arisen to hire a senior life sciences Consultant in Switzerland. PA’s Swiss office is based in Basel and the expectation would be that the successful candidate is located within commuting distance from Basel and Zurich.

Priority areas of this role :

  • Commercial Capabilities & Transactions
  • Digital Strategy : Including "beyond the pill", digital customer marketing, digital customer engagement, e-health etc.
  • Manufacturing & Supply Chain Strategy : operations strategy, footprint and network optimization, cost reduction etc.
  • R&D and Medical Strategy : R&D strategy, portfolio strategy, medical affairs operations, Real world
  • Commercial Strategy : brand or therapy area strategy, including product launches strategy
  • Strategy & Organisation : strategy, business unit; strategy and; organisational design
  • M&A : M&A support, due diligence, bid defence, PMI, licensing deals and partnerships
  • OTS -strategy and transaction related : corporate strategy; M&A strategy; commercial due diligence; carve outs; merger integrations
  • Job Requirements

  • She / he will need to be a life sciences expert with a demonstrably successful track record in long-term client engagement, development and integration, delivering relevant and sustainable results.
  • The role demands a very solid understanding of the complete pharmaceutical value chain with a focus on the customer facing front end of it e.g. Sales and Marketing.
  • With a background in Consulting, which can be acquired through working in a Consultancy or in an internal consulting role.
  • Is capable of selling work and is entrepreneurial, creative and inspirational.
  • Expands sales opportunities through collaboration.
  • Able to generate sales with new and existing clients.
  • Create opportunities for increased revenue generation in adjacent service lines and sectors.
