The Challenge :

Are you an accomplished Scientist in the fields of Human Nutrition or Pediatrics who enjoys interacting with internal and external stakeholders?

Do you have experience in managing clinical trials and other projects outsourced to contract research organizations (CROs)?

Are you passionate about Early Life Nutrition?

Then our position as Scientist / Senior Scientist Early Life Nutrition c ould be for you! We are looking for a driven individual who will support efforts in developmental nutrition by applying their scientific expertise.

Based in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland, you will report to the Principal Scientist, Early Life Nutrition at DSM.

The Position :

  • Provide scientific support for projects in early life nutrition to internal stakeholders
  • Compile epidemiological, preclinical and clinical data for publications & presentations with a focus on development.
  • Use required clinical trial management expertise to design & supervise clinical studies according to Good Clinical Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Evaluate and identify external partners (investigators, CROs) for preclinical and clinical work
  • Report, publish and present results both internally and externally
  • Maintain active scientific and professional networks by connecting with competence experts and KOLs
  • Perform work in a manner consistent with DSM safety requirements
  • The Ideal :

  • Ph.D. or M.D. in early human development, pediatrics or related life science
  • Three or more years of relevant postdoctoral experience in industry preferred, but similar levels of experience in academia will be considered
  • Clinical study design, protocol development, and statistical analysis planning
  • Outstanding analytical, writing, presentation and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills, as demonstrated by proficiency with Microsoft Office and at least 2 statistical analysis packages
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English; any other languages would be an asset
