With the growth of our team, we are looking for a new Lodging Strategy and Analytics Senior Manager to work as part of the industry leading Analytics and Revenue Management (ARM) org.

Expedia’s ARM group supports the lodging organization by analyzing business trends, deriving insights, and guiding management’s focus based on findings.

In this specific position, you will be responsible for the relationship with the senior business leaders in charge of our content strategy at Expedia Group.

The job requires a well-rounded individual who has experience of working with stakeholders on understanding the business and providing quantitative analysis and reporting to drive actions.

You will be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, establish priorities, maintain relationship with senior leadership, efficiently work with cross-

functional team, and own deliverables end to end from analytical concept to implementation. You are able to work with minimal instruction and oversight and be able to lead delivery of high quality outputs in a dynamic work environment with overlapping deadlines within short time constraints.

Responsibilities Include :

Partner with leadership to understand business needs

  • You will establish trust and a collaborative working relationship with senior leaders responsible of Content
  • Act as a program manager for our leadership and proactively engage with multiple departments across the org, including Product, UX, Engineering and Business to take on problems and identify trends and ensure timelines are met and communicated to the wider business
  • Represent the team in meetings with leadership, partners and other business partners impacted by our analytical initiatives
  • Proactively analyze information to help navigate the business

  • You will own analytics roadmap, evaluate opportunities and build business cases to ensure the success of global initiatives
  • Define clear problem statements from unstructured business asks and use a range of analytical and statistical techniques to answer those questions
  • Perform deep-dive analysis and statistical tests to get to the bottom of performance drivers and provide recommendations for improvement and quantify results
  • Create compelling presentations for business partners with solid storylines and recommendations
  • Develop a high performing team

  • You will head an analytics group composed of 2 other members and provide them with coaching and growth opportunities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on providing solutions and delivering results
  • Lead by example by being on the driving seat of the analytical problem solving and fully owning the end-to-end delivery of our projects
  • Required Knowledge and Experience :

  • You will hold a Bachelor's degree in a numerical discipline - Business administration, Economics, Operations Research (OR), Mathematics or Engineering preferred
  • 5 years + experience in an analytical role, with a preference for those with a management consulting background and / or a similar role in a leading technology company
  • Background in travel and Internet industries and understanding of Hotel and Airline analytics preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, and handle / mobilize multi-partners in a dynamic organization and a change-orientated environment
  • Superior problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with complex data sets, and combine data from multiple sources into a coherent analytical product
  • Knowledge of analytical tools, including Excel, database querying (SQL, Qubole), Tableau, Salesforce etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; solid presentation and PowerPoint skills
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and focus on generating action-oriented business insights
