The CSL Behring Recombinant Facility (RCF) in Lengnau is part of CSL’s ongoing global expansion strategy to support the company’s long-
term growth plans. The new plant in Lengnau with its highly advanced facilities will manufacture innovative and promising therapeutics with the aim to enhance the quality of the patient’s lives.
One of the main products will be a recombinant coagulation factor to treat hemophilia B patients. The Lengnau site project generates an investment of approximately a billion Swiss Francs and will create around 300 new jobs when it is fully operational.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Plant Engineering & Services (F / M) 100% Position Purpose : As a member of the Lengnau Site Lead team reporting to the Site Head, using both internal and external resources, the Head of Plant Engineering & Services is responsible for safe, effective and cost efficient Asset Lifecycle Management of GxP Critical Systems, production and non-
production equipment and energy / media / motive power systems. The incumbent is also responsible for metrology and General Facility Management (buildings and grounds maintenance, cleaning, sanitation and general services such as reception desk, cafeteria and others) in accordance with current company policies rules / regulations, cGMP and business strategies.
Additionally, the role is expected to contribute to the development of appropriate global standards and practices and implement these at the Lengnau site.

Over the next years the focus for this position will be the establishment and direction of the Plant Engineering group in accordance with current company policies, rules / regulations, cGMP and business strategies, managing and endorsing a Maintenance department to build a culture of continuous improvement, service quality, and efficiency in engineering and manufacturing processes.
The position holder is also responsible to assure personnel development and performance improvement objectives and activities.
Your Main Responsibilities : Develop a strategy for the Plant Engineering & Services Departments which will achieve a performing organization with customer oriented service attitude.
Ensure facility project is supported by the Plant Engineering Department according project plan : Deploy and assign Plant Engineering resources to meet facility project schedule and objectives Effective interface with all departments to ensure that overall business systems needs are met.
Define the priorities of subordinates, delegates project tasks; manages oversight of contractor activities and utilization.
Plan for optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, control systems, power systems, and materials through effective control techniques.
Contribute to the development, maintenance and is responsible for execution of global Engineering Standards at his / her site.
Your Qualifications and Experience : Education : University degree in an engineering discipline, MBA would be desired Experience : Minimum 15 years managerial experience in engineering in the pharmaceutical industry Proven track record in personnel management of a large plant engineering team responsible to ensure plant operations Capable of integrating project planning efforts across functions and handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Very good command of English is required.
