The Courant Institute is a center for advanced training and research in the mathematical sciences. Each year a limited number of Courant Institute Instructorships in the Department of Mathematics are awarded to postdoctoral scientists.
All areas of mathematics are considered. These appointments carry a light teaching load of one course per semester and ordinarily are for a three-
year term. They are primarily for recent Ph.D.'s and candidates must have a degree in mathematics or some affiliated field.
