Our UK and European hub started in 1990 and has successfully operated in a wide range of countries, delivering contracting, construction management, project and programme management, facilities management and cost consultancy services.
Your responsibilities will include :
Leading the delivery of utilities and site wide systems (including temporary utilities, temporary site wide systems, permanent utilities and permanent site wide systems).
Managing the process for agreeing client requirements / basis of design including in particular, agreement of system and utility demands over the life of the project.
Managing the utility and system diversions, removals and protection of works.
Managing the utility contractors.
Being active and visible in promoting Mace and client health and safety standards and requirements at all times.
Delivering the project / services to the satisfaction of our client.
Maintaining a professional relationship with all clients and client appointed consultants.
Promoting discipline, professional conduct and respect. Set a professional example to all Mace and client staff.
Leading and directing effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among various project participants.
Assessing the resource use, resource requirements and increase / reduce resource to suite the project requirement.
Ensuring the project / services is planned / programmed and that the project is monitored against the agreed programme.
Ensuring the project / service is completed to budget and return the best value to the client.
Ensuring that high quality standards are maintained and that project / service achieves the required quality standards.
Maintaining a professional relationship with company departments and functions.
Assisting the client / s with master planning, development planning and site planning activities.
Working with the commercial department as when required to provide information.
Performing pre-construction planning, programming and scheduling responsibilities.
Performing other duties assigned.
Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include :
Proven experience working in the construction / utilities sector and managing projects is essential.
Knowledgeable in commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the construction industry.
Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Excellent communication skills in German and English languages.
Ability to work on a team and interact daily with a variety of groups - development, engineering, procurement and construction.
A degree qualification is preferred but is not essential.
Professional memberships are an advantage but are not essential.
