Providing legal advice to the bank’s management and relationship managers
Maintaining and advising on the bank’s general cross-border framework
Collaborating closely with a wide range of international locations within the Julius Baer Group
Managing client complaints and contentious issues; including the collaboration with external counsel in litigation proceedings
Drafting correspondence with clients and authorities
Supporting strategic projects within the bank
Monitoring Swiss and foreign legal / regulatory developments and implementing respective measures in the bank’s risk mitigation process
Training the bank’s employees on legal topics
Law degree from a Swiss university and admittance to the bar in Switzerland; additional qualifications (Ph.D. / LL.M.) would be an asset
2 to 3 years of professional experience as a lawyer in the banking industry (preferably in private banking) or as an associate in a major law firm
Very dynamic, flexible, capable of working independently and in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, solution-orientated, reliable and able to communicate
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
