Manager Nicotine Containing Product Characterization With the following requirements

  • Master Degree in chemistry or equivalent
  • Relevant experience within tobacco, food or pharmaceutical industry
  • Previous exposure to a regulated environment is an asset
  • Proven capacity to influence and coach, action driven, organization savvy
  • Strong problem solving capabilities, solid client-facing communication, critical thinking as well as proven leadership skills
  • Fluent in English, French desired You will join the Testing Laboratories & Governance team within the Manufacturing Science & Technology department, in Philip Morris Products S.
  • A., based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

    As a Manager Nicotine Containing Product (NCP) Characterization, you will be accountable to translate scientific and technical questions from Reduced Risk Products (RRP) NCP developers and other functions of RRPs into relevant analytical testing protocols.

    You will also be managing a team of scientists having the responsibility to provide scientific and analytical support to product developer and designers, with respect to the qualitative and quantitative analysis of aerosol / tobacco constituent samples and to report the results to the customer / sponsor with relevant recommendation and added value.

    The objective of Philip Morris International Inc (PMI)’s R&D team is to develop and assess products with the potential to reduce the risks of smoking-related diseases.

    This project is at the core of our business :

    our aim is that one day all adult smokers who otherwise wouldn’t quit will switch to what we call reduced-risk products, or RRPs*.

  • Coordinate RRP Nicotine Containing Product category project development to define the strategy for the characterization and assessment of new products
  • Manage a team of scientists responsible to define proper design of experiment and report results to clients in a comprehensible manner with relevant recommendations
  • Ensure adherence to our Quality Management System for pre-clinical batch release and stability studies
  • Can act as Study Director for Smoke Chemistry Analysis under GLP
  • Define analytical planning, write study reports and provide guidance to developers based on analytical results and observations
  • Conduct literature surveys in order to increase RRRs knowledge and compare independent studies results with our internal data
  • Work in close relation with supervisors and scientists from our analytical laboratories within our organization to make sure that execution of work is performed according to agreed protocols and timing Why work for us?
