As a line manager you will be responsible for a team between 10 and 15 people, and your primary role consists of ensuring team performance and people management.

Your team

The Production and Control Team are accountable for ensuring reconciliations on the Utility strategic tools (TLM, Intellimatch & CTC) are available for the user base as required.

In addition the team manages GRMT, the reconciliations Inventory and BaroMIS the Utility reporting tool. The Global team is based in both Schaffhausen and HYD supporting primarily UBS Group Operations but also the wider bank as required.

Responsibilities :

  • People management (i.e. coaching your team to successfully support daily activities, continuous and transparent communication of strategy and goals, forecasting & planning)
  • Process, knowledge and skills development (i.e. coaching employees, driving organizational efficiency and ensuring service-oriented mindset
  • Ongoing improvement of status-quo by defining working standards (tools, benchmarks, best practice, shaping the industry)
  • Capacity planning and productivity monitoring of daily activities with support of key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), data quality checks, evaluations and reporting
  • Escalation management (ensure timely handling of escalations, actively communicate risks and issues to senior management, define remediation plans and monitor execution closely)
  • You are :

  • Communicative person who enjoys interactions with internal / external clients and able to manage stakeholders in both positive and negative scenarios
  • Reliability and service-orientation is natural for you
  • Enthusiastic and motivated to actively shape the future of the department as well as the UBS Business Solution Center in Schaffhausen

  • Flexible to meet the needs of the department as requirements evolve
  • You have :

  • Knowledge of reconciliation processes i.e. cash / securities / intersystem processing and preferably experience in either change or BAU MIS teams.
  • Additional exposure to other operation departments : finance, accounting, payments, client onboarding, tax reporting and / or change roles preferred
  • Experience in supervising resources based in Global Locations preferred but not critical
  • Fluent in German and English, French / Italian a plus; and passionate for technical aspects (macros, robotics)
  • Experience in managing a team and coaching / motivating others
