Role - Maximize value for the Ferring Group overall by providing efficient procurement solutions and deals through leveraging economies of scale, optimizing demand, optimizing processes and capturing suppliers innovation

  • Main categories in scope : Professional Services, IS / IT / Telecom, Facility Management
  • Main Responsibilities - Ensure engagement & management of relationship with stakeholders in areas of responsibility

  • Build in-depth knowledge of supported Divisions
  • Gather spend information within supported Divisions to identify areas of savings
  • Develop procurement strategy to achieve the target of the supported Divisions
  • Provide a high level of purchasing service to supported Divisions that will support sales and growth
  • Establish and manage spend category strategy
  • Identify internal stakeholders and gather information related to the demand of the category
  • Gather information related to the current and potential supply market in the category
  • Review status of relationships with current suppliers
  • Interact with internal customers to identify purchasing opportunities and evaluate business opportunities
  • Plan and manage purchasing projects to continuously improve category performance
  • Train and coach the Ferring Entity Buyers on respective category spend
  • Carry out sourcing activities
  • Engage with users to define purchasing needs
  • Lead purchasing projects following up the Ferring Sourcing Process (RFI, RFQ, negotiation, contracting) to ensure compliance with the Global Purchasing Policy and Strategy
  • Link with all internal partners (Finance, Regulatory, QA, QC...)
  • Carry out supplier relationship management
  • Segment and rationalize the existing supply base in respective category spend
  • Analyse risks and set-up risk mitigation plan
  • Proactively work with suppliers to strengthen business relations (reduce lead times, improve overall supply chain performance, and reduce costs)
  • Set-up of supplier continuous improvement program where appropriate
  • Performance management
  • Develop and maintain a culture of performance in the purchasing function in own area of responsibility, resulting in continuous improvement of costst and customer service level
  • Track and report achievements to Head of global procurement
  • Required Experience & Skills - Minimum Bachelor degree in procurement / supply chain / business admin.

  • Minimum 8 years’ experiences in procurement, and minimum 3 years in a global buyer position for indirect spend categories.
  • Ability to represent Ferring's interests to outside professionals and suppliers
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong inter personal skills and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Decision making ability to purchase goods or services in alignment with the objectives of the supported entities
  • Comprehensive understanding of purchasing processes and knowledge of best practices for sourcing, supplier management and procure-to-pay
  • Experience of project management in a complex (multi-cultural / multi-functional) scope
  • Experience of purchasing in pharmaceutical environment would be a plus
  • Financial background would be a plus
