Validation of simulated neutron noise signatures against experimental data
Generation of large sets of simulated noise data and assessment of machine learning algorithms for localization and characterization of noise sources
Contribution to the EURATOM CORTEX project
Presentation of results in scientific publications and project reports
Participation to education activities and to the elaboration of research proposals
The successful applicant will have a PhD degree in nuclear engineering, electrical engineering, computer sciences or an equivalent field
Strong background in signal analysis and data science methods (e.g. data mining, machine learning) is required
Experience in programming, scripting (e.g. perl, python, MATLAB) and high performance computing is strongly preferred
Familiarity with nuclear reactor simulations, e.g. using CASMO / SIMULATE codes, would be an asset
