Your tasks

  • Further development of PSI methodologies for numerical modelling and simulations of reactor noise
  • Validation of simulated neutron noise signatures against experimental data
  • Generation of large sets of simulated noise data and assessment of machine learning algorithms for localization and characterization of noise sources
  • Contribution to the EURATOM CORTEX project
  • Presentation of results in scientific publications and project reports
  • Participation to education activities and to the elaboration of research proposals
  • Your profile

  • The successful applicant will have a PhD degree in nuclear engineering, electrical engineering, computer sciences or an equivalent field
  • Strong background in signal analysis and data science methods (e.g. data mining, machine learning) is required
  • Experience in programming, scripting (e.g. perl, python, MATLAB) and high performance computing is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with nuclear reactor simulations, e.g. using CASMO / SIMULATE codes, would be an asset
