RESPONSIBILITIES · As leader of the Early Clinical Development Management Team, formulate effective strategic goals and objectives.
Take ownership of assigned strategic initiatives including development of measures for success.
Take a leadership role in the budget development process, monitor the execution of the budget through analysis of ongoing results, institute fiscal action plans when necessary and ensure that local and global Phase I financial targets are met.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES · In depth knowledge of the drug development process with particular emphasis on early clinical development · Proven leadership skills within a scientific organization · Sound understanding and knowledge of the CRO environment and the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry · Strong commercial orientation and sound business management skills · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of successful man-management · Strong influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships · Sound judgment and decision-making abilities · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · Degree / higher degree preferably in life sciences or equivalent qualification.
