The position will be involved in experiments investigating the effect of diet on greenhouse gas emissions and nitrogen excretions, as well as milk composition and quality of dairy cows.
Projects may span from applied in vitro and in vivo experiments to basic functionalities of complex microbial ecosystems, to statistical modeling, with the goal of improving the sustainability of dairy farms.
Experience in dairy nutrition or physiology is required. Must be able to work independently and as a team. Written communication skills are important and must be able to effectively write scientific manuscripts.
Applicants are required to have Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in an appropriate field and be able to provide evidence that all requirements have been met for completion of the Ph.
D. prior to the effective date of hire.
