For this initiative, we are seeking a Community Specialist who will be responsible for the coordination of our team and community activities, to ensure smooth and timely communications and delivery.
Reporting Lines and Interactions :
The Community Specialist will report to the Head of the Shaping the Future of Manufacturing and Production System Initiative.
He / she will connect with other colleagues in the Centre for Global Industries and Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution;
and externally with a broad range of stakeholders in the community which comprises governments, companies, research institutions and civil society organizations.
Breakdown of main responsibilities :
Co-ordinate the activities of the team, community and initiative, including managing the weekly team meeting, identifying priorities, andensuring clear agenda and next steps
Optimize team processes to ensure efficient and effective organization and communication, with continuous improvement
Drive the event strategy for the team, manage the calendar of events and activities, communicate deadlines and ensure they are met, and plan for smooth delivery of activities at events;
manage the invitation and follow up process in collaboration with the team
Coordinate content production, and publication and distribution of materials to ensure consistent, regular and high-quality communications with the community
Manage process to design, develop and share regular progress updates with all members of the community, with input from the team
Support the team in arranging select meetings and workshops and communicating with constituents
Design and implement the community’s digital strategy, ensuring public and internal information is always up-to-date
Provide support as required and requested by the team
The successful candidate will be assessed on :
Delivery of tasks and projects assigned and / or initiated to standards of excellence and against goals including quality of processes and deliverables
Ability to work effectively with community members, ensuring that they are engaged in the Forum’s work and benefit from timely communication and efficient coordination
Collaboration with Forum colleagues and external stakeholders
Preferred Requirements and Experience :
Bachelor's degree and at least 1-3 years of relevant work experience
Background in co-ordination and / or project management
Excellent organizational and complex project management abilities, able to work across teams to deliver against tight deadlines
Comfortable communicating with senior leaders, sharing information or influencing to support project delivery
Interest in advanced manufacturing and production, global affairs and public-private collaboration
Self-starting, flexible and customer-oriented team player
Able to thrive in a demanding environment with multiple tasks to manage
Must be fluent in written and spoken English; other languages a plus
Proven experience using new technology to improve processes
Good command of Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); working knowledge of Salesforce a plus
