Mission

Joining an existing team in Geneva, dealing with multi management and funds research.

Challenges

Main responsabilities

  • be able to support the analyst to carry out rigorous detailed fund / manager research, to generate and maintain a rich and deep set of fund recommendations within a given group of asset classes
  • needs to show a good understanding of risk and return drivers of all different asset classes
  • has to climb up the ladder of understanding the performance drivers which underpin a fund / manager recommendation and the sources of competitive advantage and style differences
  • support business development / client servicing efforts by answering information requests
  • will maintain and update the research report database and ensure the production of research and quantitative reports
  • As a market intelligence source :

  • ensure the production and communication of monthly peer groups for the internal fund range
  • be able to support other investment teams in producing competition analysis on ad hoc basis
  • Moreover, you will act as support of the investment specialist in enhancing and keeping up to date the existing marketing material in order for the sales force to have a state-of the-art marketing library on his related segment in line with the internal marketing guidelines.

    The candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the portfolio construction process.

    A key objective of the position is to free up the other team members of most of their operational workloads, to ascend the learning curve of understanding all the intricacies of fund selection in order to be able to carry out entirely a detailed manager research on some minor asset classes.

    An effective communication to the relevant audiences (including advisory and discretionary portfolio management and client relationship managers) is vital.

    The incumbent will actively contribute to the smooth and efficient functioning of the team and share best practices with other team members.

    Education

  • Education : Master Degree
  • IT Tools : MS Office, VBA a plus
  • Experience

  • Years of experience : 0-3 : beginner
  • Experience in private banking : Optional
  • Language

  • English : Fluent
  • Personal skills

  • Swiss resident : Optional
  • Strong interpersonal skills - Good communication skills - Maintain high quality standards despite schedule pressures - Show strong client service ethic - Team player.
