Position Overview :
Reporting to the FP&A Manager of Europe, the Sr. Financial Analyst's role is to support the preparation of the annual budget, forecast, ad-
hoc reporting to management, and establish KPI and instruments in a timely manner. The Sr. Financial Analyst will support in the evaluation and optimization of the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) as well as develop and maintain data analysis in regards to sales and costs, and support the reporting to the HQ in Canada.
Key Responsibilities :
Support the FP&A Manger in all data-related aspects of Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting. Analyse Financial and Business Intelligence data for the European and APAC (particularly China) business.
Translate data into meaningful and actionable reports.
Develop and use the existing model to Budget and Forecast a full set of Financial Statements (P&L, CAPEX, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) at a detailed level.
Collaboratively work with team members across retail, ecommerce and wholesale departments to gather inputs and analysis for the Budget / Forecast.
Prepare a monthly management report that informs the management of activity within the business.
Responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the forecasting software, Anaplan.
New Business Development Modelling and Business Case Documentation.
Establish a business case model and process for the business to adopt.
Develop a KPI dashboard and follow up on the implementation to recommend actions to management which will improve operational performance.
Work closely with the finance team to assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports. Preparation of ad hoc analyses, as needed.
Experience, Education and Designations :
MSc in Business and Economics or Finance. A professional qualification such as CMA or CPA / ACCA nice to have but not essential
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in financial analysis, controlling and reporting, ideally in a consumer goods company
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes :
Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 experience highly desirable
Experience in building management reports
Experience of data analysis and data mining financial and business intelligence data and able to translate data into meaningful reports
Fluency in English. German and / or French desirable.
