Your field of responsibility

This position is for an individual with experience in analyzing, understanding and managing complex datasets, who will be part of the Global FC Risk Assessment Team, reporting into the Global Head FCC Risk Assessment, AML Policy & Controls, The individual will also assist in executing and producing different Risk Assessment reports, which includes the gathering and analysis of different data feeds that need to be analyzed and validated before these can be used as part of the Risk Assessment working papers and the analysis of controls effectiveness.

The individual selected for this position will be expected to work collaboratively with compliance, risk management and business partners and to find creative solutions for incorporating data and metrics into the risk assessment process as well as other risk and control areas.

The individual selected will also work closely with the FCC Risk Assessment, AML Policy & Controls team and may assist with the risk oversight of regulatory consolidated supervision.

  • Develop strategies for mining and incorporating data into the risk assessments.
  • Work with the business and compliance partners to collect information necessary for assessing risks and controls.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior compliance and business management.
  • Maintain a centralized data repository that can serve as an audit trail when historical data needs to be reported / reviewed.
  • Assist in the automation of different processes within the FCC Risk Assessment team, including the implementation of a common platform where FCC controls can be viewed by multiple business partners within the Firm.
  • Assist in drafting the risk assessment reports for each covered business unit, and draft the enterprise report.
  • Act as a liaison with business and compliance partners regarding data requests.
  • Assist in the preparation of updates and presentations to regulators and senior management.
  • Assist with the risk oversight of regulatory consolidated supervision and rollout of the policy framework.

    Your skills and experience

  • A university degree or equivalent (preferably in Business Administration or Economics)
  • 7+ years of experience in a compliance, risk management, policies, governance, communications or COO function
  • Proven ability to write clear and concise business communications for senior management audiences
  • Deep understanding of the functions of a major international bank, good organizational skills, as well as the ability to think and act independently to enable you to operate in a dynamic, often-changing environment
  • Solid people skills and client-focused approach that allows you to feel at ease at operating on all hierarchy levels as well as managing and developing a team
  • Solid understanding of risk management programs, including the ability to articulate and identify relevant risks and controls.
  • Solid analytical and conceptual skills, in addition to attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly build rapport, credibility, trust, and respect with others throughout the organization
  • An open-minded, flexible, and team-focused member of the FCC Risk Assessment, Policy & Controls team, who will contribute to the team's success by being a hardworking and effective performer
  • Ambitious, with a well-structured approach to solving problems, essential for working under pressure and delivering timely high quality results
  • In-depth Knowledge of global banking markets and regulatory environment.
  • Your work experience includes working on complicated projects through entire lifecycle.
  • Deep knowledge of the investment banking industry.
  • Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Access, SQL, Python and Tableau. Ability to code in Visual Basics / SQL. Proficiency in data mining / management using tools such as Access / Excel is a plus.
  • Knowledge in SWIFT (receipts and payments) is a plus.
