In this role you will support the Responsible Actuary with the regulatory responsibilities for one of our legal entities (CRCH) and provide reserving support for CRCH

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Work closely with the Finance team to gather inputs for the risk-bearing capital and support FINMA reporting requirements
  • Facilitate the collection of appropriate inputs for the Swiss Solvency Test (SST) calculations
  • Work closely with the Capital Modeling team to draft the SST Report
  • Assist in responses to actuarial questions from FINMA
  • Streamline and maintain an overview of the reserves within CRCH
  • Liaise with actuaries around the world to maintain oversight of the reserves assumed into CRCH
  • Draft the annual Actuarial Report for CRCH and prepare quarterly reserving committee materials
  • Perform the annual reserve valuations and quarterly reserving process for several key lines of International business within CRCH, liaising with Underwriting, Claims and Finance in supporting the Actuarial Financial Reporting team

    We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills :

  • Nearly qualified actuary (SAV, UK Fellow of the Institute & Faculty of actuaries, or equivalent)
  • At least three years of experience in Swiss actuarial regulatory support and / or non-life reserving
  • Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently on multiple projects, prioritise issues and work effectively under pressure
  • Fluency in English and working knowledge of German
