The job : We have a newly created role to join our EMEA Biotech sales team as a BioPharma Production Sales Specialist . You will work closely with our key Biotech and BioPharma customers across the EMEA region, supporting them to scale up from R&D phase to commercial production.

You will work across our Research & Safety Division (RSD) product portfolio to provide our customers with everything they need, ensuring certainty of supply chain, product quality and regulatory compliance.

A core aspect of this role will be identifying and pursuing new opportunities across Europe, building strong, senior-level relationships with key customers and suppliers, and developing a strong opportunity pipeline, leading to increased market expansion and revenue over time.

This is a field-based role and will require regular travel (3 to 4 days per week) across Europe, including overnight stays.

When not travelling, you will be able to work from home. We are pleased to consider qualified candidates based anywhere in Europe / UK - although western Europe is preferred.

What will you do? + Develop and drive execution of sales strategy for scale up and production opportunities within the Biotech segment+ Identify customer opportunities across Europe to drive incremental revenue with customers moving into scale-up and production from R&D+ Develop senior-level customer relationships to enable selling of the value proposition to key customers across Europe.

This will include leading RFP responses and pro-active bids to customers and senior-level relationship management+ Work closely with portfolio management to assess current portfolio, identify opportunities for portfolio expansion and develop and execute go to market strategies for new supplier and product additions to ensure we can provide the required customer solutions+ Develop business plans which are aligned to the needs of the customer segment and aligned with the overall business strategy.

  • Work closely with the EU Biotech Sales team to support them to drive incremental growth, including developing appropriate sales targets, programs and interaction models+ Establish strong, commercially effective relationships with the European leadership team of the key suppliers in scale-up and production space+ Leverage broader industry experience and personal networks to support the more effective execution of commercial strategies and achievement of company goals+ Manage scale-up and production opportunity pipeline and sales funnel for business development and share of wallet gain using ();
  • measure and monitor execution against targets+ Maintain understanding of industry & segment trends, and market dynamics across European market+ Provide forecast updates / risks to Finance monthly.

  • Prepare monthly commercial updates and recovery plans, as necessary Who we are looking for : + Degree in a Life Science+ Several years' of relevant, BioPharma industry-specific commercial experience (essential)+ Successful sales career in pan European Biopharma production and scale-up, including dealing with key customers and senior management (essential)+ Knowledge of all facets of the distribution business model to include value added services and an understanding of the value we bring to the customer+ Knowledge of the trends, financial and profit drivers within the industry+ Demonstrated skills in strategic selling, negotiating, presentation and financial / business acumen+ Fluent in English;
  • additional European languages welcome (German & French of particular interest)+ Experience of operating in a matrix environment and driving action without direct authority+ Strong organizational skills, including experience of using project management tools to drive alignment and execution across multiple teams.
