As Group Leader for Product Management Liquid handling you will be responsible for a segment of product lines which includes Mixer, Storage (Bio container), aseptic connectors, transfer sets and buffer management.

This role involves leading and mentoring a team of individual product managers, as well as taking a fuller role in strategizing and execution of our solution (segment) roadmap for the short, medium and long term.

This role will mainly be based in a Home Office with frequent travelling to our Dreieich / Frankfurt location.

Main Duties :

Create and maintain the business portfolio plan :

  • Build / Manage / mentor product managers in their product segment.
  • Develop market requirements, business cases, product and end to end solution requirements and business plan documentation for the product segment.
  • Develop stronger strategic market segmentation and development of problem statements to map the customer buying journey.
  • Improving customer connectivity and reducing complexity in how we interact across the Biotech Business Unit
  • Provide oversight of segment strategy :

  • Develop capabilities for bottom up strategic planning that tie together individual products, markets and initiatives into true customer solutions that solve issues in customers workflows
  • Collaboration with the Product Management segment team to create new revenue streams.
  • Build Marketing Communication strategy and directions for materials to support the end to end solution and customer application focus of the product segment.
  • Involved through all stages of a product family’s lifecycle :

  • Product lifecycle management from concept to phasing out of the product(s).
  • Personnel management / Leadership :

  • Responsible for talent management to ensure the continued development for direct reports (succession planning, organizational assessment, identification of key skill gaps, talent acquisition and talent development strategies that link with business goals), with the support of our HR team.
  • Understand the performance and development planning process. Partner with your team to define objectives, measure performance progress against objectives and close gaps with appropriate action plans.
  • Operational involvement :

  • Consult QA in case of significant quality issues
  • Draw insights from a variety of quality and quantitative data points
  • Support manufacturing in capacity planning and product shortage
  • Understand manufacturing issues, quality constrains
  • Experience & Knowledge :

  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales or marketing of biopharmaceutical manufacture process related technology;
  • Bachelor s Degree in Business, Marketing or related life sciences field, MBA welcomed
  • Shown success in product launches and end-to-end execution of marketing strategies;
  • Ability to do product demonstrations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required
  • First years experience in a matrix environment and balancing multiple priorities and projects is a big plus
  • Experience working in a highly technical organization interacting with scientific and technical personnel, including field sales personnel and engineers is highly welcomed
  • Ability to travel up to 40%, including domestic and international travel to customers, meetings, and technical conferences / exhibits.
  • Fluent in English, any other European language is a plus
