About the Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join our highly motivated Clients and Industry team in Zurich as Head of Communications, which consists of internal, external and crisis communications.
You will work closely with our international Deloitte network as well as with our local offices.
You will be responsible for developing, governing and rolling out internal, external and crisis communications strategy and programmes.
Your goal will be to ensure positive presence and reputation of the company in the external market as well as ensuring internal engagement.
You demonstrate a strong client orientation and strategic mind-set, feel comfortable to make decisions and taking initiative.
You are an innovative and assertive person, who is able to work efficiently in cross-functional teams. Your negotiation ability, analytical skills and strategic thinking enable you to achieve performance and to federate others towards your ideas.
Your main responsibilities include :
Develop the overall communications strategy (internal and external), ensuring consistency and alignment between corporate communications and business strategy
Strengthen the position of Deloitte Switzerland in the Swiss market
Anticipate reputation or business issues and prepare for mitigation
Act as spokesperson for crisis communications
Manage media relations together with external communications team, preparing statements, Q&As, press materials
Foster engagement through a streamlined internal communications strategy
Contribute to corporate digital communications
Manage a team of internal and external communications specialists
For this role, we are looking for a passionate, pragmatic and creative person, ideally with the following profile :
University degree in Journalism, Communications or similar
Approximately 10 years of experience in professional communications in a Corporate or Agency environment
Proven track record in internal and external communications, strategy development, digital, crisis management, product & change communications
Good knowledge of the Swiss media landscape
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
Experience in senior stakeholder and executive management
Highly-motivated, organised and with a team player mindset
Strong communication, presentation and networking skills for team and client interaction
Fluency in both German and English; French would be an advantage
