Location / Division Specific Information

Life Science Solutions Group Licensing and Commercial Supply (LCS).

What will you do?

  • Be responsible for OEM business to Life Science Tool companies and commercial supply of instruments (PCR, KF, QPCR, CE Sequencing and Ion Torrent instruments) in EMEA.
  • Identify, evaluate and execute possibilities for large and small companies to partner with Thermo Fisher Scientific and make use of our extensive network of state-of-the-art manufacturing sites, our in-house R&D expertise and our gold standard instruments.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and manage relationship with small and large Life Science companies at multiple levels within them.
  • Make sales visits to all organizational levels and functional areas where purchasing decisions are made.
  • Develop and execute highly efficient account penetration strategies for existing territory and identify new prospective customers.
  • Work closely with local sales, service and support teams to support our partners.
  • Accurately forecasting revenues on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • How will you get here?

  • University degree within life science, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree and / or MBA preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including lead development, negotiation of supply agreements, sales funnel management, product development / commercialization and competitive market research.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams without being the manager both internally and externally. Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and slide presentations required.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to drive for results through the deal process, build a funnel, collaborate with key stakeholders and functions and execute again the deals.
  • Ability to work well in a team and matrixed atmosphere
  • Ability to effectively negotiate with and influence potential clients, partners, vendors, and internal staff required.
  • The ability to effectively shift priorities and work at a rapid pace required. Proven relationship building skills required.

  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, articulating, listening, and questioning skills required. Ability to effectively interface with all levels inside and outside the company, including senior management required.
  • Good knowledge of molecular diagnostics techniques such as endpoint PCR, qPCR, Microarray, & Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).
  • Understanding of molecular diagnostics markets.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and slide presentations required.
