Postdoctoral researcher 100 % Our research activities include basic, translational, and clinical research in the field of dermatology, including skin cancer, inflammatory skin disorders, and allergy.
In part, our research is focused on pathogenesis, disease mechanisms, but also on therapy. The department is accordingly well equipped for experimentally and pre-clinical research utilising tissue cultures and rodents, and with methods of molecular biology, immunology, histology, as well as bioinformatics.
Your responsibilities The appointed Postdoctoral researcher will conduct experimental research in the area of skin inflammation.
We are interested in the innate immune response of keratinocytes to infection and how dysregulation of this response leads to chronic inflammation and autoinflammation.
The candidate will perform experiments with cell culture and gain-of-function and knockout animal models. It would also be an advantage to have hands-on experience with confocal imaging, CRISPR / Cas9 gene-editing techniques and / or proteomic techniques (e.
g. SILAC-labelling). Your profile The candidate should have recently obtained their PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, dermatology or in an equivalent field.
The candidate should be ambitious, creative, highly motivated, and experienced in experimental research. Ideal candidates will have strong laboratory and organisational skills.
Successful candidates should have very good English language skills (written and oral).
