As Global Supply Chain Manager you will join our global highspeed team exploring opportunities beyond our currently established offerings.

You will be an active part of the team responsible for the development and commercialization of a new small turbocharger product for off-highway applications.

Your responsibilities

  • Building up supply base for a new turbocharger product including evaluation of different suppliers, supplier selection and quality reviews
  • Fostering supplier relationships and ensuring cost effective sourcing at required quality as well as driving supplier development
  • Excellent logistics with respect to availability & quality in a cost-effective way
  • Ensuring industrial qualification maturity prior to the series production phase
  • Executing on schedule and in line with quality and cost requirements
  • Acting as a point of contact with suppliers for operational activities and contract management and as an ambassador for the supplier to internal functions
  • Contributing to quote preparation and ensuring target costs are met and kept overall project gates
  • Driving design for manufacturing and quality, taking responsibility for the process and ensuring implementation
  • Conducting cost value analysis
  • Your background

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing and producing of mechanical parts in the field of off-highway small turbochargers business (compressor wheel diameter smaller than 130mm)
  • Sound knowledge of all relevant casting processes, technical knowledge
  • Supply landscape knowledge in respective area
  • Experience in functional interaction with various teams (without disciplinary reports)
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, the passion for driving things forward and ability to deal with uncertainty in terms of development of product specification depending on production process maturity level
  • Willingness to travel 10 to 30%
  • Proven track record of project management
  • High level of organizational development skills (work methodologies, structure, processes)
  • A solution-focused and open-minded approach and strong communication skills
  • A university degree in a relevant field (preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar)
  • Fluency in English, German is an asset
