Main duties and responsibilities include :

  • Accounting management of the lab’s budget, grants and third party funds (e.g., salaries, expenses, credit card, purchases, budget forecasting, financial reporting)
  • Staff administration (e.g., HR follow-up, visas, employment contracts, welcoming new joiners etc.)
  • Organization of visitors’ venue (visas, logistics, travel and accommodation)
  • Organization of conferences, seminars and travel of collaborators
  • Expenses and credit card management and follow-up
  • Provision of general support and logistics to the lab
  • Management of the lab infrastructure
  • Communication (web, presentations, social media) of the lab
  • The occupation rate of this position will be 20% in 2020 and then 30% from January 2021.

    Your profile :

  • Full proficiency in both French and English is mandatory (both written and spoken)
  • Computer proficiency with a very good command of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
  • Confident and precise with budget organization and accounting
  • Ability to interact with all levels of faculty, staff and students in multicultural / international environment
  • Self-driven, good sense of organization and initiative, rigorous and attention to detail
  • Commercial background or education (CFC de Commerce or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as an administrative assistant; a previous experience at EPFL is a strong asset
