The role of Senior Global Consumer & Market Insights Manager is a central role in the Global CMI team with the scope that spans across different brands, countries and channels.

You will be responsible for identifying the key growth opportunities for the retail hair business based on the foundational understanding of the category.

Your work will enable the key where-to-play choices and cascading priorities in our innovation pipeline. You will ensure that the Company is equipped with the most up-to-date understanding of consumer habits, market segmentations and key category trends.


  • Lead the analysis of hair category landscape, key market dynamics and future trends.
  • Be the go-to-person for the foundational consumer understanding : socio-demographics, hair category habits, unmet needs and their evolution.
  • Lead the end-to-end market research work to enable geographical expansion and new product launches : assessing the landscape, competitive intelligence, qualification of the optimal proposition;
  • idea, insight, concept, packaging, branding.

  • Drive action upon the research finding, make sure the CMI recommendations are implemented in the business decision process.
  • Enable other members of the CMI community with the foundational market & consumer understanding.
  • Develop strong collaboration with multifunctional team; Marketing, Sales, R&D, Finance.
  • Manage supplier relationships in the area of foundational consumer research.
  • Make sure the learnings are regularly updated, reported and easily accessible by all company members.
  • Own market research plan and budget.
  • Essential :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics or further relevant study.
  • 5-10 years of business experience in a similar position.
  • FMCG experience essential; beauty and hair-related categories preferred.
  • Proven track record developing and activating foundational studies; category segmentation, jobs-to-be-done, habits & practices, path to purchase and consumer journey.
  • Experience with New Product Development qualification process; idea screening, concept development, assessment of packaging, claims and other communication materials.
  • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Experience in managing and building new supplier relationships.
  • Genuine interest in market research, problem-solving mindset and curiosity.
  • Fluency in English further languages beneficial.
  • Desirable :

  • Integrative thinking, being able to connect the dots across different studies and datapoints
  • Excellent communication skills and storytelling. Ability to formulate an insight by looking at the quantitative data.
  • Proven experience building positive working relationships and working successfully in cross-functional teams.
