The NRC also has around 100 research collaborations with universities or research institutes around the world. The NRC is organized with three large research institutes for Health Science, Materials Science and Food Safety Analytical Science.

Research Units focusing on Clinical Development, and PetCare, complement these major Institutes. The NRC plays an important role in providing the science behind healthier products (learn more about the NRC at ).

  • Demonstrating excellent communication skills and scientific insight, you will ensure initiation, development and execution of research activities in the area of nutrition and muscle physiology, to develop concepts for healthy growth &
  • development in children, and maintenance of mobility & quality of life in elderly. Key responsibilities

  • Propose and lead innovative research activities on muscle physiology and protein metabolism for healthy growth in children or mobility in seniors to develop differentiated nutritional solutions for product development
  • Design clinical trials to support claims and product communication
  • Lead and drive activities related to health benefits of dietary proteins
  • Investigate molecular and metabolic readouts in preclinical and clinical studies
  • Provide expert opinion and scientific guidance to cross-functional projects and business partners
  • Develop scientific network and manage external research collaborations
  • Scientific communication, patents, and peer-reviewed publications
  • Required Profile

  • PhD with 5-6 years of post-doc experience in Muscle Physiology and strong knowledge in metabolism and nutrition
  • Experience in running and analyzing clinical trials
  • Expertise in testing health benefits of dietary proteins and physical activity
  • Expertise in molecular signaling or metabolomic analyses
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written
