Lease Accounting Specialist Passion, Reliability, Improvement, Discipline, Excellence PRIDE Nestle Costing Center of Competence, Undefined period of time, 100% Please note that this position is based in Barcelona We are looking for a Lease Accounting Specialist to join the Lease Accounting Center of Competence.

This new team will ensure Nestlé’s compliance to IFRS16 and deliver lease accounting services to all Nestlé markets from Barcelona and will be collocated with the Costing Center of Competence.

This position will be based out of the Center of Competence, Barcelona, Spain. Focusing on shareable, knowledge and experience-

based activities, the Centers of Competence (CoC) were created to leverage economies of scale, facilitate standardization and automation and with a clear mission to provide Nestlé with the best in class services (manufacturing costing, distribution costing, white collar costing, transfer pricing).

The Lease Accounting Specialist will be Responsible for the full scope of lease services (planning, initiation, Period End Close, sustain, system maintenance) of timely, accurate and relevant data and analysis for all Company codes in the recipient Markets, in support to the Lease Accounting Manager.

Enable proactive collaboration with recipient Markets to ensure and enhance Leasing understanding at Nestle and a continuous improvement culture.

Key responsibilities : Reporting directly to the Lease Accounting Manager based in Barcelona and with high degree of interaction with Group Control in Vevey, the Lease Specialist responsibility will be to manage various aspects of Leasing requirements to support Nestlé’s businesses globally.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Assist the lease Manager in establishing the lease service catalog in Costing CoC
  • Execute Lease Accounting processes (lease planning, initiation, period end close, support, training and system administration).
  • Deliver lease accounting and system training to market users
  • First level support to markets when it comes to lease standards and tool
  • Responsible for full compliance to IFRS16
  • Simulates lease change impact and provide expertise on leasing scenarios
  • Execution of all necessary reconciliation and checks to ensure quality of data provided with agreed timelines
  • Provide assistance to the business / functional controllers and lead their respective business review meetings
  • Participate in Ad Hoc projects as the Lease Accounting functional expert
  • Assist the Lease Manager in providing support to the business
  • Contribute to implementation of new functionalities, tools and solutions
  • Enter and maintain data in Lease system based on market information
  • Education and experience :

  • Formal Finance / Accounting qualification of appropriate level (degree or similar)
  • Prior experience in F&C
  • Experience in multicultural / varied nationality environment
  • Experience within a network organization (internal and external providers)
  • Fluent in English;
  • Good communicator, both orally and written
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Can assimilate and understand complex system processes and give clear guidance on the financial treatment of leases
  • Effectively handle pressures and demands from multiple customers and competing priorities
  • Ability of understanding customer requirements and prioritizing effectively activities
  • Self-Training on leasing guidelines and tools
  • Good organizational and planning skills
