The Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering invite applications for aThe primary objective of this PhD project is to develop and apply both experimental (optical and Magnetic Resonance Imaging based) and numerical techniques (Lagrangian and / or continuum modelling) to elucidate the underlying physics of a number of poorly understood phenomena in (multi-phase) granular systems.
