Job Description Summary
The Risk Finance Analyst for the Gas Power Contractual Services Agreement (CSA) Business will partner with the Global CSA Risk Leader and CFO to support the identification, management and monitoring of credit, utilization, pricing and other long-term portfolio risks for the segment.
In this role they will support overall portfolio risk assessment, including owning key risk reserves, metrics and corresponding mitigation plans to protect the future backlog and related balance sheet exposures.
Roles and Responsibilities
Partner with regional commercial, sales, risk finance and FP&A teams to better understand risk dynamics in the portfolio and in addition how to better utilize risk metrics and market trends to flag potential areas of concern.
Quarterly Utilization risk analysis - Partner with operations teams to ingest monthly utilization data and identify high risk sites, key drivers behind low plant utilization and subsequent assessment of underlying credit or liquidity risk
Drive the convergence of the portfolio health price premium KPI with the HQ calculated pricing variable constraint to ensure the risk of premium priced contracts is appropriately measured, identified consistently and appropriately reserved for.
Support the annual refresh of all HQ risk reserves
Drive quarterly country risk analysis outside of the high risk review process through tracking movements of key balance sheet exposures, monitoring of key macro trends and likelihood of impact on the business in order to feed the Portfolio Health process and assist in the prioritization of country playbooks.
Perform quarterly escalation audits to obtain assurance on the general performance of the escalation tool, entry of different indices into the tool and that escalation financials are accurately recorded in ICAM.
Partner with Risk leader to operationalize Global Portfolio Health Bowler & Scorecard to track actions
Partner with the Controllership team on the quarterly high-risk impairment reviews; Highlight any significant risks that might not have been captured through the quantitative risk scoring process.
Support and participate in the quarterly portfolio health reviews
Support Multi Year Agreement Risk leader in driving risk process simplification and harmonization of various risk rhythms
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field from an accredited University or College
Demonstrated level of finance work experience

Preferred graduate of finance management leadership programs (GE employees only)
Strong analytical skillset
Demonstrated success working with cross functional teams
Proficiency in analytic tools such as Alteryx, Tableau etc.
