ABB Switzerland Ltd, High Voltage Products is renowned worldwide as a specialist in components for power transmission and power distribution.
Within the area of High Voltage Products, the Technology Center Switzerland has about 90 employees and is responsible as part of a global development organization for the development and optimization of products like Gas Insulated Switchgear, Generator Circuit Breakers, Surge Arresters, High Voltage Interrupter Chambers, Insulation Components as well as Control and Monitoring solutions.
Strengthen our Interrupter Development Technology team (IDT) responsible for interrupter development for high voltage circuit breakers at our site in Zurich as part of Technology Center Organization.
More specifically you will be joining our simulation team supporting multiple development projects with simulations and developing common simulation tools and methods.
Our team consist of simulation experts in dielectrics, heat transfer, mechanics and computational fluid mechanics. You will strengthen our team with your expertize in mechanics in direct contact with the ABB simulation community.
Our main in-house simulation platform is based on Modelica / Dymola which is coupled to other simulation software (Abaqus, ADAMS and Fluent) and integrated via C, Python and VBA interfaces in tools for our development engineers.
One of your tasks would be to support and further develop this platform and the simulation methods used, in strong collaboration with our users and simulation experts at ABB.
