We’re looking for someone who takes over the finance responsibilities for the UBS Optimus Foundation in Switzerland (UBSOF CH).
The diverse range of responsibilities includes :
Monthly closure of UBSOF CH’s accounts
Preparation of annual accounts for UBSOF CH, as well as the consolidated financial statement for the Network
Establishing annual accounts for UBSOF CH, as well as consolidated financial statement of UBSOF Network’s entities
Develop cost budget, process and monitor expenses
Prepare monthly journal entries and reconcile accounts
Payments to projects supported by UBSOF CH’s including liquidity planning
You’ll be working in the Operating Office of the UBS Optimus Foundation in Switzerland, an award-winning, expert grant-making foundation that helps UBS clients use their wealth to drive positive social change for children.
The UBS Optimus Foundation Switzerland is heading the UBS Optimus Network including, a branch in Hong Kong, a representative office in China, sister foundations in UK and Germany as well as a donation platform in the US.
The Network generated total income of around CHF 65m in 2017.
The Operating Office plays a pivotal role in the smooth-running of the UBSOF Network. With a broad remit to cover all governance, financial, risk and internal communications aspects of the business, the Operating Office also provides oversight and co-
ordination of product development and management.
You have :
At least 3 years of experience in a role with a focus on accounting or controlling, preferably in UBS.
You are :
Having a strong affinity for numbers
Keen to gain experience in the foundation industry
A quick-learner who can work with considerable autonomy, while recognizing when to escalate
Striving for excellence in everything you do
Analytical with a strong proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel
Detailed-oriented and well-organized
Flexible and happy to work as part of a small but busy team picking up and juggling a wide range of activities
Fluent in English, German would be an asset
