On behalf of our client, a leader financial company in Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant on an Interim basis, to guide and assist the accounting team.
The role will be based in Zurich and the duration of the contract is 6 months with a possibility of extension.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities :
Supervise a team of junior accountants.
Prepare financial and transactions reports.
Produce reports for external audit control and co-operate with external auditors.
Create financial books of accounts.
Input annual budgets into the business internal accounting system.
Prepare monthly, quarter and annual reports according to IFRS Guidelines.
Be responsible for bank and account reconciliations, financial statements, and assets.
Examine if all legal requirements are being met and ensure that the accounting practice complies with the all the legal protocols.
Responsible for the liquidity planning of the company.
Monitor the company’s compliance and internal control system.
Co-operate with all levels of management across the business.
What the ideal candidate must bring :
Solid educational foundation in Finance and Controlling.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Accountant.
Professional use of English and German.
Demonstrated ability in a leadership or supervisor role.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Tools. (Ms Excel, Ms Office, Ms Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Swiss GAAP and IFRS knowledge.
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Exceptional communication and team-building skills.
Mentoring and team-player personality.
Knowledge of SAP and Abacus would be a plus.
