You will work as a Senior Business Analyst within the project reporting into the Workstream Lead / Project Manager
Extensive interactions with Business and IT would be expected to ensure business requirements are understood and design approaches are agreed with consensus.
Extensive analytical work will also be required to support business requirements / challenge the status quo and to provide a pragmatic and scalable resolution to the problem / opportunity
Responsible for the gathering of business requirements and related documentation including putting forward recommendations for solutions, where required.
You will help us to deliver strategic initiatives using leading project management and business analysis as we pursue our goal of protecting and enhancing shareholder value through optimizing the use of our financial resources.
Preparation of functional specifications and use cases for the delivery of the business requirements.
Preparation of test plans, test cases, co-ordinating with users and IT during the testing phase
Execution of specific test cases
Liaison with business users for executing the User Acceptance Test and securing sign-off
Preparation of the documentation and steps for deployment, including user training where required.
You have experience in accounting, or a deep understanding of financial / regulatory requirements and have worked extensively with users in these areas
Strong business and data analytical skills and logical reasoning; ability to challenge the business and bring creative ideas
Full cycle project implementation experience
You have a background in working with onshore / offshore model
You bring experience of working closely with IT and Support Teams
Prior experience working with some / all of the following will be of additional advantage; Reporting tools (e.g. QLIK, Axiom, Analytical Tools (e.
g. OBIEE, Tableau), Big Data projects / technologies, General Ledger systems, Financial Consolidation tools (e.g. Hyperion Financial Management), ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) related projects
Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of a project lifecycle including familiarity with Waterfall / AGILE / Scrum project methodology
Deep knowledge of MS Office suite with advanced Excel skills
Active listener with superb communication skills both written and spoken with strong organizational skills
Solid sense of ownership, can deliver independently with minimal supervision
Ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences
Ability to build and maintain strong and positive relationships
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities in ambiguous situations
