The position is located in the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), Division of Administration, Central Support Services, Operations Support Unit.
The incumbent reports to the Chief, Central Support Services.
Under the supervision of the Chief, Central Support Services (CSS), the incumbent is responsible for the following duties :
Budget and Finance

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business or public administration, accounting, human resources management or related area is required.
A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Certification in Project Management, such as Prince2 Foundation, is desirable.
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in administration, finance, accounting, human resources management or related field is required.
Experience in at least three of the major areas of responsibility (human resources management, budget formulation and implementation, commercial activities management, property management) is desirable.
Experience in leading a team of at least ten staff is desirable.
At least three years of experience in the UN Common System is desirable.
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in English and French is required.
Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which will be followed by competency-based interview.

United Nations Considerations
According to article 101, paragraph 3, of the Charter of the United Nations, the paramount consideration in the employment of the staff is the necessity of securing the highest standards of efficiency, competence, and integrity.
