We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Medical Science Manager / Medical Scientific Liaison Manager for the BMS Cardiovascular franchise in Switzerland to join our team.

The Medical Science Manager role at BMS is primarily field based and has a reporting line through the medical function. The successful candidate will act on a national level as the primary field medical contact and subject matter expert for health care professionals and will develop and maintain contacts with national, regional and local experts.

The role is also a pivotal interface to various cross-functional internal colleagues. By championing team spirit with passion and drive, the Medical Science Manager will be part of an energetic Alliance team advancing our activities in the cardiovascular area and advocating better quality of life for patients.

In order to enable success in the role, key areas of focus will include : + Champion scientific communication with HCPs for the BMS Cardiovascular franchise to ensure safe and appropriate use of innovative BMS Cardiovascular medicines through strategic face to face or virtual exchange and group presentations.

  • Drive scientific exchange by providing up-to-date information on BMS compounds on request, respond to scientific questions and requests posed by HCPs, drive stepwise evolution of treatment paradigms, and support HCPs' optimal treatment of patients by translating science into practice.
  • Support the execution of the Local Medical Plan in close collaboration with the in-house medical functions. + Organize and conduct local or regional medical education events in collaboration with HCPs and related stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with brand team members and sales force to engage with Healthcare Providers, developing and maintain contacts with Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Partner with sales force teams by acting as a medical reference point for day to day medical questions. Actively engage in the training plan and perform regular trainings for the sales team on disease area and product knowledge.
  • Actively contribute to the development of Brand Plans and Strategies through cross-functional and multi-disciplinary collaboration within the Brand Team.
  • Qualifications needed to fulfil this role : + University degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, Msc, others) required. + Be able and comfortable to work independently in a field based role.

  • Experience translating complex clinical data into easy to understand messages. + Be comfortable communicating and presenting clinical data to larger audiences (10-20).
  • Have a good understanding of clinical statistics and grasp new data quickly. + Be organized and develop strategic plans independently.
  • Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills is a must. + This field medical position entails a considerable travel activity within Switzerland.
