Committed to strengthening our sales unit team in Baden, Switzerland, we are currently looking to appoint a Key Account and Segment Manager for the Food & Beverage market.

This role combines a global account responsibility for a specific, long-standing customer as well as the management for other customers also in the Food & Beverage industry in Switzerland.

You will be the one developing, implementing and managing the account strategy focused on growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will coordinate the sales activities within your area of responsibility and deliver a world class service to our customers.

This position requires travel within Switzerland. The place of work can be in Baden AG or Morges VD and a combination with remote-working is possible.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading in the development and implementation of sales strategies, sales targets and account plans by being the spokesperson for customers and ABB in the Food & Beverage segment.
  • Ensuring achievement with a structured follow-up process

  • Advising customers comprehensively and supporting with solutions for their current and long-term business plans. Creating added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach (e.
  • g. frame agreements, pricing, AVL related actions)

  • Providing customers with products / solutions / services in line with volume, mix and profitability targets representing all ABB taking ownership and being responsible for a successful project acquisition (incl negotiations and contract management), execution up to after sales
  • Monitoring and understanding the key business drivers of the relevant customers business and business environment and interpret the opportunity and impact for ABB.
  • Ensuring appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented

  • Driving the application of standardized Marketing & Sales processes and tools (Salesforce, account plans, executive sponsorship programs etc.

    Your background

  • University degree in Engineering and Business Administration
  • At least five years of national and preferably international sales and account management experience
  • In-depth technical knowledge in the field of motors, generators and drives
  • Experience and a network in the Food & Beverage market are desirable
  • Proven record of being able to build strong customer relationships and to engage teams in collaborative problem solving
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to translate corporate objectives / strategies into relevant plans and strong will to achieve results
  • Fluent in German and English, French is an advantage
