In this cross-functional role, you will provide technical leadership to the team managing the EMEA SwissCo & SoftCo-BMS businesses, act as the focal for the all the BMS portfolios that will be executed through both entities.
You will lead 80-member Engineering team.
You will ensure that such projects comply with defined process (Z21) and quality performance objectives and that the resulting integrated product or system is released in a planned fashion.
To do this you will provide R&D Oversight for all projects under your control including the supervision of the review, negotiation and acceptance of :
The preparation and tracking of Annual Operating Plans (AOP) for BMS Products & Solutions
The product requirements specifications as submitted by the business customer
The project development and quality plans as established by the contracting Global Development Centres(GDCs)
The project deliverables such as design specifications, product components, verification reports, and ultimately the end products
Track projects against agreed scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives
Manage release to factory for manufacturing, or to the hosted production environment for hosted / cloud based products and solutions
You will also be responsible for managing the EMEA SwissCo and SoftCo Intellectual Property (IP) accordingly under your control as well as identifying and facilitating new business
2. Z21 & Agile transformation focus
You will not only oversee the management of the supplier relationship from a pure project execution perspective, but will actively influence the product engineering operations of the GDCs globally.
In particular, you will :
Deploy SoftCo defined Z21 engineering processes, practices, tools, and measurement systems
Ensure RT milestone drop deliveries are coordinated / executed working with PMO leaders / Engg sites across BMS.
Build robust processes for controlling multiple projects and build a Z21 pipeline process : Tracks Z21 metrics, Signs off releases made by functional groups across the globe
3. EMEA BMS Engineering Leadership
Engage with EMEA regional customers and solve / help resolve critical problems collaborating with x-functional team.
Assist EMEA engineering leaders with understanding the key technical decisions and risks on their programs
Lead Trend and Murten Engineering teams, driving the Release Train deliverables and overall roadmap
Develop the R&D strategy for products sold (or to be sold) & develop & maintain technology roadmap for the EMEA BMS in alignment global roadmap
Drive innovation and productively by leverage BMS platforms and technology successfully across multiple portfolios
Represent the EMEA BMS business in the context of future R&D and product design. Coordinate with others in the organization (e.
g., technology leaders, sales) to obtain input regarding customer trends and requirements. Propose revisions to product roadmaps to address feedback from the markets
Participate in strategic decisions regarding product lifecycle (e.g., innovate, end of life)
Manage Trade Secret Technologies and IP
Drive and be accountable for the EMEA-BMS Engineering MOS; MRR; AOP and STRAP

4. EMEA Innovation
Contribute to the HBT EMEA Innovation drive and be part of the Innovation hub.
Collaborate with HUE, product marketing, business leadership, sales and other functions to proactively generate new ideas as part of the Z21 Discovery.
Bachelors degree in computer science or software / hardware engineering
12+ years Software / Hardware development management experience
Project Management experience in large, multi-year project
Good communication and leadership skills
Fluent in spoken and written English
Ability to travel worldwide ca. 20%
Familiar with modern product development and quality management methods, tools and practices
Coordination and ability to interact with multiple functional groups across the globe to interact with multiple functional groups across the globe
