Abbott Established Pharmaceutical Division is looking for an Global Medical Manager - Gastroenterology Portfolio We are hiring to strengthen our medical affairs team and looking for an experienced Global Medical Affairs Manager for our Gastroenterology Portfolio.
The job holder will report to the related Global Medical Director Gastroenterology Portfolio and will have a close cooperation with the regional and local Medical Directors and Managers, the Innovation & Development Department and Global Marketing.
Main Responsibilities + Responsible for specific activities and strategic projects within Medical Affairs Gastroenterology Portfolio, as well as select product responsibility.
Support the Global Medical Director in reviewing and approving global and regional medical / clinical studies and publication proposals for Therapeutic Areas + In close collaboration with the Global and Regional Marketing Teams, plan and execute prelaunch activities of cross-regional products / brands + With collaboration of regional medical teams be involved in generating key metrics to help drive your global strategic decisions + Performing key medical activities as standard, for example, advisory boards, engaging with KOLs, co-developing the portfolio medical plan whilst working closely together with global commercial colleagues + Establish a strong working collaboration with the regional medical directors and managers, and provide support where needed and exchange of best practices + Work on medical maintenance of global brands and supporting the Global Medical Director by participating in product safety team meetings, labelling team meetings, writing and / or reviewing scientific documents, updating product scientific library, etc.
Provision of (sub)therapeutic area disease- and product- training(s). + Actively participating and contributing to the creation of disease related materials Abbott's digital platform (a : care) for key stakeholders (patients, HCPs, pharmacists etc.
Collaborating with the marketing team on developing promotional materials, including sales aids, web pages, digital platforms, etc.
and ensuring scientific validity of the contents. + Collaborating in cross-functional brand- and project- teams. + Conduct medical assessments on new Licensing & Acquisition opportunities for portfolio expansion and support the TA specific Need State Team (NST).
Responsible for bringing direct change to the future positioning of products within the Gastroenterology portfolio. Your profile + MD or Pharm D / PhD / M.
Sc in life sciences (minimum of 5 years experience in pharma industry). + Scientific background / knowledge in Gastroenterology is preferred.
Previous medical affairs industry experience is required, business acumen in pharmaceutical industry. + Global and / or regional medical affairs experience is a plus + Strong project management skills across several functional areas, and multiple projects.
Able to work hands on and think strategically, whilst being detailed orientated and keeping the larger picture in mind.
Strong organizational, and strong communication / presentation skills on different levels and can adapt quickly and be resilient in a fast-paced working atmosphere and changing environment.
Highly results-driven, solution-orientated, adaptable, pro-active / energetic individual with strong collaborative skills.
