Who are we?

The last thing anyone living abroad needs is to figure out how to receive their post from home, right? Well, that’s the exact problem that inspired our founders in 2013 to create an online tool to turn huge PDFs into tiny, email-friendly ones.

And it turned out that they weren’t the only ones with this problem; millions of people started using their tool to compress PDFs and that was the explosive start of Smallpdf as we know it today.

Today, we’re a team of over 130 people and 34 nationalities, with offices in Zurich, Belgrade, and Barcelona. We’re proud to have made PDFs and life just a little bit easier for over a billion customers in 24 languages with over 20 PDF tools across our web, mobile, and desktop applications.
