YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Finance Director, EMEA, the Finance Manager EMEA will be recognized for its ability to build respect due to his outstanding business skills and technical experience.
He / she will have a will do, can do attitude , roll-up-the-sleeves style and the ability to operate at best in a fast-paced global company environment.
Self-starter and hands-on, the incumbent will contribute to create a fun and challenging work atmosphere and he / she will demonstrate an ability to motivate, coach and empower his team.
It is crucial that our candidate maintains a strong independence and integrity, and he / she should also possess a solid business acumen and judgment to contribute and challenge the business leaders to surpass its goals.
Finally, the candidate will have solid communications skills in both English and French, other languages are a plus.
Team Development / Leadership
Oversee, organize and supervise the work of a team of 4 analysts
Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning, empowerment and delivering on its commitment
Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign clear roles and responsibilities, set objectives, establish priorities and conduct annual performance appraisals
Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach, providing your team with challenging assignments
Motivate his team and ensure a high level of enthusiasm and challenge is maintained
Strategy, Vision and Leadership
Play an active role in the pursuit of our business objectives across our region
Advise the business leaders and their team on financial planning, commercial policies, sales programs, investment priorities, and policy matters
Support and promote finance strategic alignments (improve efficiency, maximize enterprise values, people engagement and development) and align department initiatives with Global financial priorities and business strategy
Promote teamwork and process efficiency
Controllership and financial reporting
Ensure adequate internal controls and policies are in place and compliance is effective
Contribute to financial reporting in accordance with IFRS
Support timely issuance of financial statements in accordance with corporate calendar
Ensure timeliness, accuracy and usefulness of financial and management reporting
Coordinate the key planning processes : budget, forecast and commercial policy review
Collaborate closely with divisional FP&A team in the preparation of financial plans
Provide guidance to local management on expected financial results and engage them to define corrective actions to meet objectives
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
A minimum of 7 years of experience in middle management roles in Europe; previous experience in consumer goods or automotive considered as an asset
Demonstrated competence and experience in implementing and managing rigorous, disciplined financial reporting and controls
A demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit from success operating in fast-paced global organizations, coupled with a solid understanding of managing large-scale operations
An ability to build trust to challenge and drive business results with local management
University graduate in Finance or Accounting
Previous experience as the overall finance leader, a definite plus for your development
Previous experience with SAP system would be considered as an asset
Bilingual in English and French
