Pictet Alternative Advisors is a leading alternative investment specialist with expertise in hedge funds, private equity and global real estate.

The Geneva- and London-based team constructs, manages and advises on portfolios of alternative investment solutions for institutional and private clients.

The Group has strong development ambitions for Pictet Alternative Advisors for the coming years, notably to expand its product offering to include additional asset classes and to further develop its institutional client base.

In view of these developments, Pictet Alternative Advisors is looking to hire an Operations Officer to steer its development.

Based in Geneva, you will be joining a busy team of five spread between Geneva and Luxembourg, central in supporting the growth of our private assets funds.

You will provide operational support for private equity and real estate funds, as well as managed accounts.

Your role

  • Managing and coordinating operations linked to PAA private equity and real estate (PE / RE) products and mandates.
  • Providing support for the investment teams, management and internal clients.
  • Checking on delegated and outsourced activities (NAV calculations, reporting, transactions and client services).
  • Coordinating with all service providers (legal, tax, compliance, administrators, back-office, etc.).
  • Monitoring risks and investment constraints.
  • Working on various occasional and recurrent projects (e.g. TER calculations).
  • Optimising and automating processes (IT development).
  • Your profile

  • At least five years’ experience in a similar role in a fund department or with an asset manager.
  • Proven practical knowledge of Private Equity and Real Estate operations management.
  • Rigorous, with excellent numeracy skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • A certain ability to deal with issues / topics with specialists from various businesses (investment managers, tax, compliance, etc.
  • with excellent verbal and writing skills in these particular situations.

  • Advanced user of Excel and generally at ease with new IT systems.
  • At ease expressing yourself in both French and English, with the relevant written proficiency to draft documentation and discuss complex matters with both internal and external parties, whether native speakers or not.
  • Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
  • As the chosen applicant you will show energy and enthusiasm in your work and be rigorous in your approach. You will also stand out owing to your excellent teamworking skills.

    Furthermore, you will be trustworthy, able to show discretion and keep in mind that client’s interests and excellence in what you deliver is what matters the most.
